Could you give me some help where to put them or could I use them with fodquake? Thanks for the help in advance. I am familiar with ezQuake and got confs and skins there. I moved it to my nQuake install directory.ĮDIT: Here is some install help I ll give it another try.ĮDIT2: OK I just needed to put pak files to one fodquake dir and the fodquake is running "fine" atleast on this more powerful Macbook pro (Not my computer). Ok but where do I put fodquake binary? W_load_wad_file, Could not load gfx wad file, thats the error msg it says when starting. Other downloaded from EzQuake site crashes when you start new game. Ok now I downloaded nQuake package for this laptop for testing but ezquake-binary doesnt start. Had this error with old Mac Mini and MacBook pro. Converting Mac OS X specific files or something. There is some errors at the end of nQuake Mac OS X package installation. So I think it works pretty fine, but better talk to Tuna I think (#fodquake on Quakenet). On the other hand I know that fodquake is supposed to run really smooth on OSX since Tuna/bigfoot has fixed mouse input and a lot of other things there. I've gotten myself a Mac Mini too but I've got little to no time to focus on making ezQuake (or my version of it) work on OSX unfortunately. This is mainly because there's no OSX developers, or actually, there's no developers left at all (except for me, but I'm mostly busy with other stuff). If you got some good setups and confs please also share them!Īfaik ezQuake sucks pretty hard OSX if it even runs today. Both USB and Bluetooth mice are supported, no matter whether the mouse is designed for Windows or Mac. Please share your experiences with Quake and Mac OS X.Īnd do you use different mouse drivers like steerermouse to get 4 5 buttons working and acceleration off? Hows it working if so? SteerMouse does not support the Apple Magic Mouse, Magic Trackpad and some special features. It is ok for normal use but what do you think about gaming. If you NEED that Razer mouse, and you NEED those 12 buttons, just know it’ll be a journey. So anyone playing QW with Apple? Hows it compared to Linux/Windows? I was thinking buying Mac Mini and using it with my gaming mouse, normal keyboard and 22" tft. If you don’t want to deal with the hassle, go Logitech. Logitech really is the stress free way to go.īeing 100% honest, I am really upset at Razer after using their mice for 10+ years and them dropping the ball on the “Mac Gaming” community. The device itself has never had any issues. It has NEVER had any issues with ANY mac updates, or any of my Macs. I have been using a Logitech trackball for a really long time since it’s really portable, and requires minimal space to use. It will just work, and Logitech has made sure to keep up with Big Sur, as well as M1 Macbook’s. If you are satisfied with that many, then I think you will be happy because the G604 will not require ANY special setup aside from the Logi software that you need to install. These complications aside, I have really enjoyed the Naga and it’s 12 buttons for WoW.įor the G604, I see it has 6 buttons compared to my 502 and Ergo. Other people have reported that if you select the colors inside of Synapse on a PC, it should remember those settings. The only downsides? You can’t change your Chroma colors and it’s $20. It allows extensive control over mapping ALL of your buttons, including the tilt wheel on the Naga / Naga Pro. Now, I ended up going a different route with an alternative to Razer Synapse called SteerMouse by Plent圜om. That said, Razer has made it clear they do not support Apple devices - so no hopes on Synapse 3 or this getting fixed. A quick Google search will tell you all the hoops you need to jump. First off, the Razer Synapse 2 software does not work well on Big Sur. There are difficulties using this mouse though. My favorite of all 4 devices has now become my Naga Pro, which I use both for work and for World of Warcraft. Hey have been playing WoW Classic for a few months on my M1 Macbook and have had experience using the following 4 devices:
